Today Is A New Day

Walter’s On Washington & Dunn Bros Coffee

So, we, Just Us, got a email from our booking representative yesterday. She was just thanking us for an awesome show last week. She also offered us another gig. So, we are playing again on March 29 @ Walter’s On Washington. I know it’s on a Sunday, but she offered us to play in the show and we took it. We will hopefully be playing at 7:30PM. This time we actually have a say in when we want to play. Yeah, so mark your calendars, and plan on coming to see us! :]

Also, I heard about this coffee shop called Dunn Bros Coffee. They have two in the area, and they are opening one near my house next week. Laura and I checked out the one in Katy last night. We liked it. The cool thing about it is that they have live music there. I asked Hope and we both agreed that we want to play there. I just emailed them to let them know that we are interested in playing at there coffee shop. So, we might be playing there too. I will keep y’all up to date on that.

One more thing.. Hope and I do this because we have fun with it. Even though this is for fun, we want to record our music! I am not experienced enough to do it myself, and I lack the expensive equipment. I was checking out some recording studios in Houston, and I found one in Tomball. It is called Digital Services. They are pretty legit. They have recorded people like: B.B. King, Destiny’s Child, Houston Grand Opera, Houston Symphony, Marilyn Manson, Neil Young, South Park Mexican, Spice Girls, The Rolling Stones, Willie Nelson, ZZ Top, and a lot more. The cheapest recording price is $100 an hour. We only play acoustic songs, so I figured that we could maybe get at least 2 songs in per hour, maybe 3. We want to make more songs, and perfect all of them before we go in. In the mean time I will be saving money for it. So, in like another month or two, we will have a CD for you guys to buy! I will keep y’all up to date on that too!
